Taylor
Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop stars: an artist who could completely cross over from traditional music to becoming a renowned pop-culture icon and then conquering the world while doing it. Swift removed herself from the roots of country she had acquired like it's second nature to her and demonstrated that she's the most talented pop-singer/songwriter in her time. Swift could make the moments personal while also conveying the mood. Swift's early songs, including the neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. But the album she released in 2008 Fearless proved that she was a songwriter who was exploring her own voice as she found a large fan base. Fearless wound up having considerable reach not just in the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles on the basis of Top Ten hits Love Story and I Belong with Me but throughout the world performing particularly well in Canada, the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift's next album, Speak Now, released almost two years following the previous one, built on this popularity. It helped propel Swift to the heights of fame. Swift's popularity only grew over the next three albums - -The Red Album, 1989 (2014) Red (2012) 1989 (2014) as well as Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) which saw her moving confidently into a pop realm where she belonged. She remained at the highest of the pop charts even as she refocused her music in her sister albums folklore in 2020 and Evermore.
