Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th, 1946, on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family which would later comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to be free from life's hardships thanks to her expansive and imaginative imagination. Songs were being written by her before she had the ability to write or read. In the year she turned 8 at the time, she purchased her first electric guitar. She started singing at the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. That same year she released her debut album for Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. While still in highschool, she was able to make her mark locally but longed to be on a bigger stage. The day after she graduated in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first track to hit the charts for Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female singer to be a part of his syndicated show until this point. Parton was brought on in the year was signed to RCA Records by 1968, she joined the Grand Ole Opry. She resigned in 1974. the show because of the success of her solo songs like Joshua Coats in Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Following their breakup, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it made it to number. The first time it made it to number 1 was in 1974.
