Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her roles as a lead actress in the action-spy film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. Born into a middle-class family located in Los Angeles, she harboured many dreams in her early years. Her mother was a movie fan and was a constant source of encouragement to her love for films when she was a kid. Paula was a part of co-curricular school events, and she was particularly interested in the drama. Paula loved playing the role of an actor alongside her peers and was a participant in her school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced many plays and the actress decided acting was her chosen career. She was in the University of Southern Cal's summer program, and enjoyed the experience to death. She was awarded a three-month project making documentaries for PBS. After she had completed the three-month assignment successfully Her first assignment was to work in production for documentaries on television. She then moved to produce documentaries. Although she was awed by her job, she still wanted to become an actor. She began her journey into acting with a role as Will Smith's co-star on romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she has appeared in a number of popular films and television shows.
