
King Von, whose real identity is Dayvon Daquan Bennett, was born on August 9 of 1994 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Taesha. Bennett had three brothers and siblings from the mother. His father was a father to six half siblings. Bennett was mostly raised by his mother due to his father's frequent stints in prison. He was 11 when Bennett's father was shot and killed. Bennett was 16 when he was taken to the jail for the first time. This was only the first of numerous encounters against the law. Afterward, he earned some college credits at South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois. As a way to improve himself following further legal troubles, Bennett began pursuing his profession in the field of music. He collaborated frequently with fellow rapper Lil Durk.Although "Welcome to O'Block" was the sole album that studio Von was able to release during his lifetime, a posthumous album entitled "What is it to be King" made its debut posthumously in the month of March 2022.
